Theme & Appearance
Moraya supports Light and Dark themes, with system preference detection.
Theme Switching
Open Settings (Cmd+,) > Appearance tab to select your theme:
- Light — Warm cream background (#f0efe8), ideal for daytime use
- Dark — Deep navy background (#1a1a2e), reduced eye strain at night
- System — Follows your OS light/dark mode preference via
prefers-color-scheme
CSS Custom Properties
Moraya’s theme system uses CSS custom properties defined in variables.css. The active theme is controlled via the data-theme attribute on the <html> element.
Zoom
Adjust the editor zoom level:

Font Customization
In Settings > Editor, you can customize:
- Font family (serif, sans-serif, or custom)
- Font size
- Line height
