Quick Start

After installation, launch Moraya. You’ll see a clean editor window ready for writing.

Creating a New Document

Use Cmd+N (macOS) or Ctrl+N (Windows/Linux) to create a new untitled document. Start typing Markdown — it renders in real-time.

Opening Files

Press Cmd+O to open an existing .md file. You can also open files from the sidebar file explorer by clicking Cmd+\ to toggle the sidebar, then browsing your file tree.

Saving Your Work

Press Cmd+S to save. For a new file, a save dialog will prompt you to choose a location. Use Cmd+Shift+S for “Save As”.

Moraya supports autosave — enable it in Settings (Cmd+,) under the Editor tab.

Markdown Basics

Type Markdown syntax and it renders immediately:

# Heading 1
## Heading 2

**Bold text** and *italic text*

- Bullet list item
1. Numbered list item

`inline code`

> Blockquote
