Common issues and their solutions.

macOS: “App can’t be opened”

If macOS blocks Moraya on first launch:

1. Go to System Settings > Privacy & Security
2. Scroll down to find the message about Moraya being blocked
3. Click “Open Anyway”

macOS: Dock icon looks generic in dev mode

When running pnpm tauri dev, the Dock icon appears as a generic app icon. This is expected — there is no .app bundle in development mode. Run pnpm tauri build to see the correct icon.

AI: API key not working

• Verify the API key is correct and has not expired
• Check that you have selected the correct provider in Settings > AI
• For Ollama, ensure the Ollama server is running locally (ollama serve)

Editor: Math not rendering

Ensure you are using the correct syntax: single $ for inline, double $$ for block. KaTeX may not support all LaTeX packages — check the KaTeX supported functions list.

Large File Performance

For very large Markdown files (>1MB), consider using Source mode (Cmd+/) for better performance, as WYSIWYG rendering of large documents can be slower.

• Moraya version (from Help > About)
• Steps to reproduce the issue
